The skill acquisition program formally commenced on 29th October 2021 with 21 trainees and was programmed to last 12 months. During the period, each participant was required to open a bank account and received 20,000 naira monthly for subsistence as well as exposure to money management. The training also attended classes where they received basic training in entrepreneur. Depending on the skill and craft selected, each participant was equipped with practice tool and materials for training purposes. Lastly, fees were paid to the trainers. Since the inception of the skill acquisition program, 52 persons have participated in three batches drawn from various polo in opobo Town.

At the conclusion of the training of each batch, the Foundation:
a. Arranged with the state Art and Craft school to examine and award trade test certificate in relevant areas to enable successful candidates to compete for employment.
b. Equally important, at the end of the training, each participant received a starter pack consisting of the tools and machinery with which he/she could become self employed.
c. Cash was given to each participant whose trade required a shop to enable him/her pay for the initial rent.
